Our boat shaped shelf units are made in two designs(standard and traditional dinghy style), each with different sizes -plus, uniquely, they have a lighting option with several different colours and settings!!

STANDARD STYLE BOAT SHELF UNIT
The standard sizes are -
1m, 75cm and 50cm high.
We have been making these unique hand made shelf units for over 12 years now. They are our basic style, free standing model which can be easily wall mounted.
Surprisingly sturdy with the shelves supported on three sides and a fourth support under the front of it. We have used one of these for 6 years in the workshop for tools and general storage and it is still going strong. They can be beefed up a bit if you want it stronger.
You choose your size, lights or no lights which we finish as standard in a water based gloss varnish all round.
The lighting strip USB 5v so it doesn't get hot and is positioned as a back light with multicolour options, dimmer, flash, fade etc with remote control. Choose the colour you want, how bright and enjoy.
We can finish yours with one colour outside/inside and varnished unpainted areas for a little extra.
Please note that these are already built but we finish to order so please allow 3 - 7 working days for delivery. Thank you.
The Large one measures around - 1m (39") high, 50.5cm (20") wide and 17.75cm (7") deep
The Medium one around- 75cm (29.5") high, 37cm (14") wide and 14cm (5.5") deep
The Small one around - 50cm (20") high, x 25cm (10") wide and 10cm x (4") deep
(Measurements can be a little different +/- 2cm with each one as they are individually hand made).
The ones pictured are ready to be finished - varnished or, if you prefer, painted.
The light strip is multi coloured and has different colours on all the time, fade and flash etc. with remote control.
5v USB can be powered by a 240v/5v UK phone charger type plug.

All sizes are finished with solid wood trim and available in two options with or without lights and custom finished to your specification.
The lighting USB wire is taken out of the bottom of the back panel. If you want it to come out at onside, please let us know.
It can be personalised too with a name/logo laser engraved anywhere (mostly). We can make the forward shelf support larger so that a slogan could be engraved on each one.

Unique Traditional Dinghy Shaped Shelf Units
Based on the actual full size dinghy design, our Winchelsea 2.2 and was first made as a shelf unit 17 years ago for a boat show stand display.
These unique shelf units are hand cut and built to a high standard. You choose your size, lights or no lights, which we finish as standard in a water based varnish all round.
However, we can finish yours with one colour outside/inside and varnished unpainted areas for a little extra.
Shelf units are designed to be free standing though they could be wall mounted

Option 1 - Standard Unit - Shelf unit (no lights) fully varnished.
Or
Option 2 - Standard Plus - Shelf Unit with RGB multi colour LED light strip positioned as a back light and complete with a remote control and fully varnished. Choose the colour you want and enjoy.

The larger one measures around - 1m (39") high, 49.5cm (19.5") wide and 19.5cm (7.5") deep
and

24" Boat Shape Wine/Spirits Station
A hand made, boat shaped wine rack and shelf unit which is free standing so can be sat on your counter top etc.
Measures around - 24" (605cm) high, 12.5" (32cm) wide and 6" (15cm) deep. The outside colour does not have to be blue as we can paint it other colours or varnished all round.
Room for 6 x 75cl wine bottles with two on the shelf or store some glasses there.
(The bottles protrude both sides but the shelf will take standard 75cl bottles)

34" Boat Shape Wine/Spirits Station
This is my favourite boat shaped item. I have one in my kitchen.
A hand made, boat shaped wine rack and shelf unit which is free standing so can be sat on the floor or your counter top etc.
Measures around - 34" (86cm) high, 17.5" (44cm) wide and 8" (21cm) deep.
Price includes one colour outside and varnished inside or varnished all round.
Room for 8 x 75cl wine bottles with two or three on the top shelf and a middle shelf to store some glasses.
(The bottles protrude both sides but the shelf will take standard 75cl bottles)

Hand made with recycled/ reclaimed wood and plywood.

Knot Boards
There are three options and they are all hand-crafted knot board, made in the UK from recylcled plywood and wood. It could be a unique addition to any collection. Perfect for those interested in sailing or nautical history, this piece is sure to be a conversation starter.
There are seven of the more commonly used knots on the board -

Clove Hitch
Sheet Bend
Reef Knot
Carrick Bend
However, I have a total of 16 that I use for these and other boards so I can customise this item if you wish. Just contact us fot the list and choose your 7 knots.
You can choose the outside hull colour too. Use the drop down menu for this. The inside colour is white or cream.
Also included is an information sheet for the knots on the board and what they are used for.
Please note that these items are built and ready for finishing as you want so allow at least 3 days for dispatch.
Board A
The knot board is mounted in a model of the full size dinghy from one of my designs, the Rye Bay. Measuring around 310mm high x 150mm wide x 80mm deep it can stand on its end or sit on its base as shown in the pictures. The outside hull colour is black as standard but white, red, blue, green and grey are options.
Board B
Based on the basic boat shaped shelf unit and measuring around 310mm high x 165mm wide x 55mm deep it too can stand on its end or sit on its base as with the one above.
Board C
A simple boat shaped plaque measuring around 310mm high x 165mm wide x 10mm deep not including the support piece at the back.
Oak Boat Shaped Single Knot Board Display - 200mm or 300mm

These are made from oak - reclaimed boards or sawmill offcuts. Pictures show two knots, my favourites, but there are 16 knots, bends or hitches to choose from which are mounted with basic information about it laser engraved on a plaque. They also come with a more detailed information sheet which includes how to tie the knot and its uses.
Bends, commonly used to join two ropes, use one blue and one white.
The oak board is treated with a non solvent varnish and comes with a small support piece and some glue to allow it to stand alone or it could be wall mounted.
Two sizes 200mm high and 95mm wide or 300mm high and 145mm wide and both around 25mm thick though sizes may vary a little as hand made. Stock levels show the bas made up but will be completed to order when we know which knot yo want.
